About Angel
I am a humanist who believes in the inherent potential of every individual to grow, learn, and change, and I hold a fundamental belief that all people possess goodness at their core. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Elizabeth City State University in 2014 and my Master of Social Work degree from Norfolk State University in 2017, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work. My experience spans all age groups and various settings, addressing a range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, conduct issues, adjustment disorders, and life transitions, with cognitive behavioral therapy as my primary theoretical approach. Having served as a United States Navy Veteran, I am well-versed in the unique challenges faced by this population. My interests include reading, singing, and traveling, and you can expect to receive unwavering support and genuine authenticity when working with me. Additionally, I provide supervision for LCSW licensure, and with more than 20 years of marriage and a dedication to continuous professional development, I am well-prepared to assist you on your relationship journey. I have also completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
"I believe that there is no universal approach to therapy. I tailor high quality sessions specifically for each client, to reflect his or her individual personality and needs."
